Who We Are
MissionERIN is not just an organization — it is a movement born from the belief that fairness and innovation can coexist in every school, village, and district across Nepal. We are educators, engineers, and dreamers working to build transparent systems that empower people, not replace them.
Our roots are deeply tied to Nepal’s historic vision of unity. Inspired by King Prithvi Narayan Shah’s dream of “a garden of many flowers,” we see diversity as Nepal’s greatest strength — and equality as its foundation for progress.
Every initiative we take — from training teachers in Lalitpur to establishing innovation labs in Sarlahi — carries one message: Empathy can be engineered. The systems we build must be as compassionate as the people they serve.
Vision & Mission
Vision
To see a transparent and inclusive Nepal — where every person, regardless of region, caste, or gender, lives with equal dignity, opportunity, and purpose. A Nepal that honors its roots and leads its future through empathy, innovation, and fairness.
“Nepal is a garden of many flowers.” — Prithvi Narayan Shah
Mission
To turn empathy into structure. MissionERIN transforms fairness into systems that work — from classrooms to communities, from teachers to policy-makers. We build data-driven, ethical, and collaborative programs that make inclusion measurable, teachable, and sustainable.
- Empower youth through education and innovation.
- Promote ethical governance and institutional transparency.
- Champion women’s leadership and rural inclusion.
- Create sustainable, community-led impact models.
In a divided world, our mission is simple — unite through fairness.
Origin & Philosophy
MissionERIN’s philosophy is born from Nepal’s founding wisdom — the belief that strength lies in diversity. Inspired by King Prithvi Narayan Shah’s vision of a “garden of many flowers,” we carry that unity forward through Education, Empathy, and Enterprise.
From field visits and late-night planning sessions to a national movement, our journey redefines inclusion — built not through protest, but participation.
Education Opens Doors
Education brings dignity and opportunity — the first step toward inclusion that lasts generations.
Empathy Builds Bridges
Empathy lets us see humanity beyond differences. It is the soul of inclusion and progress.
Enterprise Creates Opportunity
Through innovation and entrepreneurship, fairness becomes a system communities can sustain.

“Unity in Diversity — the vision that built a nation.”
— King Prithvi Narayan Shah
A Letter from Our Founder
When we began MissionERIN, it was never just about building an organization — it was about rebuilding trust in how Nepal thinks, teaches, and grows. In a country so rich in diversity, I realized that the only way to unite us is not through uniformity, but through understanding.
ERIN means many things to us. It’s an acronym, yes — Equity, Respect, Inclusion, and Nepal — but it also means “End Racism In Nepal.” For some, it stands for “Empathy Reimagined in Nation-building.” The words may differ, but the goal is one — a united, innovative, and inclusive Nepal.
From classrooms in Lalitpur to innovation clubs in Sarlahi, from board meetings to community homes — our purpose remains the same: to make empathy a part of governance, and fairness a part of every system.
“Nepal doesn’t need more organizations; it needs more organized empathy.”
— Sitanshu Shekhar

Our Journey — From Spark to Movement
Foundation & Conceptualization
Feb – Jul 2024
The idea of MissionERIN began with Sitanshu Shekhar and Abhishek — transforming late-night discussions into a clear social innovation framework.
Initial $2,000 investment covered early design sessions, planning, and team meetups. The philosophy of empathy-based systems took root here.
Field Research & Validation
Jun – Dec 2024
Anjila Shrestha joined as Treasurer, leading extensive surveys across 9 districts — Sarlahi, Solukhumbu, Lalitpur, and beyond.
